Support for old 16-Bit Apps

We have created an add-one that let's you run older 16 bit Windows applications. You can run old applications all the way from Windows 1.x, 2.x and 3.x. Windows had similar support for older applications in older versions of Windows and still in Windows 10 32 bit x86 version. it is called NTVDM and can be turned on if not on by default.

Our add-one works by emulating a 16-bit DOS environment within a 64-bit Windows system, allowing users to run their DOS applications without needing the original NTVDM component. It aims to provide improved compatibility, performance, and security compared to the original NTVDM.

While our add-one may not offer identical functionality to the original NTVDM, it provides a viable alternative for users who require the ability to run legacy applications on newer Windows operating systems. However, as with any emulation or compatibility layer, there may still be limitations and compatibility issues to consider when using with specific DOS applications.

Of course for the user, older apps work as any other despite some possible in app issues. Although in our tests 8/10 apps worked perfectly 9/10 were perfect after chancing settings and all 10/10 worked and were totally usable with some minor issues. We have support articles about both many 16 bit apps and this add one.

Why 16 bit apps are still useful? We have an article about that in our article section. You can also access the article HERE.

Also the best text/word processor/editor Ami Pro needs the add one, if run it on newer 64 bit versions of Windows.
